The Falconers all stated that this is not a hobby but a life's passion. Even to become a falconer takes time and great effort. You must train for a full year with a Master Falconer then you become an apprentice for the next few years....It is not just a hobby you are going to dabble with!
On May 06, 2017, Columbia Crest Winery, located in the Horse Heaven Hills just south of Prosser, Washington, hosted a Birds of Prey Day. Several Falconers from the area brought their "passions" to be viewed by the general public. It was impressive to see everything from a common Kestrel to Peregrine Falcons to a couple of Golden Eagles!
